Do Not Waste Your Money on This Digital Tire Compressor
Tramelko 2995RK 12-Volt Digital Tire Inflator
This digital tire compressor annoys me on so many levels I don’t know where to begin. For starters – for the love of God, please - no more manual-shutoff button for digital tire compressor! Auto-shutoff is a must! There’s a reason other manufacturers pack such feature with every new digital tire compressor now, damn it! On a serious note, among the heavier flaws this one has is the woefully imprecise built-in pressure gauge and bad LED light display. While the makers claim that inflating a standard car tire within 4 minutes is possible, in reality it’s tough to inflate even a bicycle tire with this inflator, let alone a car tire within 4 minutes.
A Matter of Sloppiness
In a word, Tramelko’s 2995RK digital tire inflator is sloppy. Awkward isn’t a bad word either. Whatever the case, it is clear I’m not impressed. In fact, the only thing that does impress me a little is the inflator’s carrying case. I just don’t know what’s up with the performance in this one – why is it so bad? It takes ages to inflate a car tire, the adapters for inflating balls and other inflatable items are useless and the LED doesn’t light up most of the time. If the performance felt better, perhaps the unreliable LED wouldn’t matter near as much.
The overall design of this inflator is just so weird. It has this arch-like shape that I believe Ronald McDonald would be proud of. It just looks funny to me. Trying to connect it to a car tire is even worse. The screw-on attachment is flimsy. Connecting its bulky air hose is tough and unnatural - no fluidity whatsoever. On top of that, the hose is quite short making connection extremely difficult because the inflator has to be plugged in directly into the car cigarette lighter.
I guess that explains why the digital inflator has no user reviews so far. I think. In general, the Tramelko model 2995RK 12-Volt digital tire inflator suffers badly when compared to almost all the other portable tire inflators on the market. It comes across as low-level-ish in every category except its carrying case, which is fairly decent. Dual hose connector feature does nothing to redeem this poorly made inflator either. It merely lets you share the frustration with a friend or enemy.
I know it’s a bit silly of me to bring this up, but I can’t help it – what the heck were the makers thinking when they “guaranteed satisfaction” in Tramelko 2995RK online brochure ad? Did they even bother to test the inflator before putting it out on the market? It’s terrible! I hate to bludgeon the work of hard-working automotive tool makers, but this digital tire inflator just doesn’t cut it. The box packaging design stinks, the inflator itself is heavy, the rubberized feet are awful…
I mean why enter the crowded portable vehicle tire inflator market if you’re not going to make even a decent quality B+ product? And decent quality B+ this inflator ain’t. Also, the Tramelko 2995RK is a very loud inflator. Even worse, the price is rather high for such a poorly designed product. Without a fair amount of quality attributes, why would anybody want to spend $79.99 on this inflator? By the way, my coworker bought this inflator and he returned it within 3 days after purchase. I also had it returned after trying out the inflator for about a week.
Look guys, I can’t think of a single reason to buy this even if it is selling on a massive discount. Wow. It’s obvious – stay away from this ambitious but ultimately sub-par digital inflator.
